Shots fired into Asbury Park home misses child and father

Shooting in Asbury Park, NJ misses child and father while they lay sleeping in apartment.

According to APP.com gun shots missed a father and his child while sleeping in their apartment early Sunday morning. Police responded to a report of multiple gun shots fired into the first floor apartment of a two-family home.

The shots were fired into the window, traveling above the 2-year-old and 21-year old father. No injuries were reported.

This the 10th incident involving shootings in the Asbury Park and bordering Neptune area since Memorial Day. Several weeks ago, Neptune Police Chief Adams and Mayor Kevin McMillian met with residents on how to stop the surge of violence.
