Neptune and Long Branch High School graduates get picked up by NFL
Neptune High School graduate, Cory Nelms, and Long Branch High School graduate, Darius Morris, get picked up by the NFL as free agents.
2006 Neptune High School and recent graduate of University of Miami, Cory Nelms, was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent.
As quoted from The Miami Herald:
“I have to give the 49ers a big thank you for giving me the opportunity,’’ he said. “I was ecstatic, man. It’s definitely a blessing and a great opportunity. We all know this is a rough business and you have to keep working to stay in. It’s not about getting in, it’s about staying in.’’
Darius Morris, a 2006 graduate of Long Branch High School and recent graduate of Temple University, was picked by the Houston Texans as a free agent.
