Morgan was captured in San Diego, CA where authorities believe he was staying with friends at the time.

There was a nationwide search for Morgan who allegedly killed his daughter after a court-approved visit on November 21st. Imani Benton, the toddler’s mother, called police when Morgan failed to return the child back home. Tierra’s body was found later in the Shark River by a group a of teenagers still strapped in her car seat.

Initially charged with endangering the welfare of a child and interfering with court order, the charge was moved to murder once autopsy showed the child died from ‘homicidal act’. The FBI also charged Morgan with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

According to the Star Ledger, FBI spokesman Bryan Travers said earlier today Morgan boarded a bus to Richmond, Va., at Newark Penn Station on Nov. 21.
