A Block Party shooting has claimed an innocent life.
A Trenton man has admitted his role in a gang-related shooting that left a 13-year-old girl dead at a stop-the-violence block party in New Jersey’s capital city.
Man pleads guilty to Trenton block party shooting
Keith Warren pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the June 2009 slaying of Tamrah Leonard. Warren also implicated several other Sex Money Murder Bloods members — including his younger brother — and agreed to testify against them at trial.
Incident
Leonard was gunned down during a drive-by shooting. Authorities say the bullets missed the intended targets — some rival gang members — and struck and killed Leonard instead.
The 23-year-old Warren admitted Friday that he was driving the vehicle used in the “gang payback” shooting. He faces a 20-year state prison term when he’s sentenced later this year.
