Tablets are the new wave of the future and at the Long Branch Middle School teachers are taking full advantage of it.

NBC New York stopped by Long Branch Middle School to watch how teachers have made the classroom experience more interactive by using tablets.
Long Branch made the switch to tablets in early January. The tablets will also have a built-in GPS to track down if they are lost or stolen.
Long Branch Superintendent Michael Salvatore told NBC News reading ability levels across all three grades jumped by what he would expect in six months of book-based study. He also says the costs of tablets and wireless is less than what the district spends on books yearly.
Sixth and seventh grade special education teacher James Brown said
“This tool keeps the student engaged.”
Eventually, the district plans to have tablets in all classrooms from grade 3 to 12.
