Asbury Park-Neptune NAACP “Save Our Youth” Block Party

The Save Our Youth block party event turned out to be a wonderful day as morning hours was threatened by rain.

By 12 o’clock the sun came out and the NAACP festival was on its way. Vendors came out & many gifts were given out to the children.

The Save Our Youth block party is held every year by the Asbury Park-Neptune NAACP, where its goal is to unite the community and facilitate initiatives aimed at saving the youth.

Renée Covin’s Day

The Founder and Vice President of Unheard Voices had the opportunity to talk about Renee Covin’s Day and her story.

The reading of her proclamation that the Mayor of Neptune Township bestowed upon her, the history of her life and her battle with Lupus, was shared with parents and children.

Renée was not only an active member of the community, she was also a business woman and entrepreneur as she ran an operated her own income tax service along with her husband’s software engineering consulting company.

Unheard Voices would like to thank the Asbury Park Neptune NAACP for having Renee’s Covin’s Day celebrated at the Save Our Youth block party event. Words can not describe what this meant to the Covin family. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
