Long Branch Green Wave vs Red Bank

Many fans came out to watch the traditional turkey game and to cheer on their respective teams.

Long Branch was led by sensational running back Dwight Clark (number 21) as he slashed his way through defenders to score the only touch down for the green wave.

Long Branch’s defense held sturdy behind the strong play of Dahmiere Willis (number 4) and the defensive line. Red Bank was denied access to the goal line time and time again.

The Green Wave proved just too powerful for Red Bank. Long Branch added two field goals by kicker Samuel Castano to put Red Bank away for good.

After the game, both teams showed great sportsmanship during the trophy ceremony.

Coach Dan George was showered with water by his team. He told both teams how proud he was of them and to be a part of a long turkey tradition with Red Bank.

Long Branch moves to the state semifinal game next week.
