The Green Wave loses to the Scarlet Fliers in OT 55 to 51

Long Branch Green Wave fought hard but succumbed to the Neptune Scarlet Fliers in OT 55 to 51.  Neptune jumped out in front of Long Branch 15 to 9 and took a halftime lead of 22 to 17 into the locker room. In the second half the Branches came out smoking as they caught fire out scoring Neptune 20 to 6 in the 3rd quarter that put the Branches in front by 37 to 28. It seemed like Long Branch was in full control going into the 4th quarter.

Neptune came back to outscore Long Branch 20 to 11 in the 4th quarter but a last second buzzer shot by Long Branch sent the game into OT. Neptune out played the Branches in OT 7 to 3 to win the game. It was a hard fought game by both teams. Neptune and Long Branch are both 6-6 in conference play.
