The Long Branch AYF Dinner was a success.
Long Branch- Annamaie Antonucci, who is a team mom and assistant for the Long Branch AYF football team and cheer-leading squad, had a vision.
She wanted to do something that would help offset the cost of things, such as field repairs or maybe even new uniforms. So she came up with and helped with all phases of the first annual pasta dinner held Saturday night at the IAMA building in Long Branch.
“It was more than just me, we have gift baskets donated by each team that will be raffled off and the building and several other things were also donated” said Antonucci when asked how this event came to be.
The Long Branch AYF Dinner was a success
The event, which looks promising to become an annual thing, featured home cooked pasta, salad and drinks.
There was music provided by a D.J. and the children danced and played freeze the popular game where the children danced but had to stop when the music did.
A good time was had by all as Long Branch resident and Icon Ms. Jean Hastings got up and did the electric slide with the kids.
Mrs. Antonucci also expressed a special gratitude to cadet team mom Ms. Doris who so willingly helped out and donated her time with a host of other team moms.
Be on the lookout for more Long Branch AYF Dinners to come.
