Two people shot in Long Branch an hour apart

Two people have been reportedly shot in Long Branch in the early morning hours on Tuesday, authorities said.

Two people have been reportedly shot in Long Branch in the early morning hours on Wednesday, authorities said.

Reported by app.com, the first shooting occurred on Long Branch Avenue at 1:34 a.m. and the second took place on Broadway at 2:34 a.m.

Authorities are investigating but have yet to release if the incidents are related.

Lt. Doug Gotfredsen of LBPD told the app.com that the shootings were being investigated by LBPD detectives and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Gotfredsen did not comment on the condition, age or gender of the two individuals.
