Michael Brown was murdered by Ferguson Missouri police

A “Justice for Mike Brown” protest and rally will be held in Princeton, NJ Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., according to Daniel Harris, who is organizing the protest.

The rally will begin at Tiger Park on Nassau Street. From there participants will march along Nassau and Witherspoon street to Hinds Plaza next to the Princeton Public Library, where speeches will be given.

Michael Brown, 18, was unarmed when he was shot and killed by a police officer on Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Mo.

“There were a number of us who were tremendously disturbed and … we feel that response is absolutely critical at this point in history,” Harris told nj.com

Harris said the rally is not a protest “against the police,” but rather a protest for justice, healing and reform.

There have already been several rallies and protests in support of Michael Brown and Ferguson in New Jersey. Towns like New Brunswick, Highland, and Newark have already shown their support.
