A person was struck and killed by a train in Long Branch, NJ which suspended NJ Transit train service between Bay Head and Long Branch Thursday afternoon, authorities say.

A NJ Transit spokeswoman, Jennifer Nelson, said a “trespasser” was hit at the train tracks on Brighton Avenue.

Buses have been ordered to accommodate commuters, the tweet said.
