Asbury Park Middle School: Ghana Project Session 10

On December 18, 2015 Asbury Park Middle School students did a presentation for the students in Ghana regarding the United States Government and wars. This Ghana project presentation was put together by Mr. Wronko’s students, Perfecto Kendle, Deicie Vasquez, and Ali Salahedin.

Ghana Project

The presentation consisted of power points based on the Declaration of Independence, the American Revolution, the Articles of Confederation, the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Presidents, the Branches of Government, the U.S. Constitution, the fifty states, the governors of the states, and the difference between the Federal Government and State
Government.

Besides presenting how the U.S. Government works, Mr. Wronko’s students also explained why the U.S. Government must make the difficult decision of going to war. From there Perfecto Kendle, Deicie Vasquez, and Ali Salahedin did presentations on the U.S. Government’s decision to use the Atomic Bomb during World War II and help South Korea against North Korea during the Korean War. In addition, the students did extra presentations for the Ghana students based on battles that took place during the American Revolution such as the Battle of Trenton and Yorktown. Ghana students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Ghana prpject presentation such as:
How well do you think Barack Obama is doing as president?
Who will your family vote for in the election of 2016?
You mentioned the American Revolution, what do you think about the
Boston Tea Party?

This session ended with HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
