Recently school resource officer of the Asbury Park School District, Tyron McAllister, was a guest for one of the many Ghana sessions at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
Ghana Session with Tyron McAllister
During this session, Mr. McAllister spoke to the students in Ghana about becoming a police officer to help out the members in the community. Also by being a graduate of the Asbury Park School District, he wanted to show that regardless of your background, you could achieve your goals and be successful in life. He informed the students in Ghana that the children in the Asbury Park School system look up to him as a positive role model and that he would like to continue serving as that role model so that there would be more successful people like himself coming out of Asbury Park.
Mr. Tyron McAllister brought up that before becoming a police officer he wanted to join the military or become a professional football player. In addition, Mr. McAllister showed that he was a very religious individual and great singer by singing to the students Amazing Grace.
The students enjoyed Mr. McAllister and his presentation and showed that no matter what our background might be, you could be successful.
Thank you to Mr. Tyron McAllister for attending this Ghana session.
