International basketball star, Dii’Jon Allen Jordan has passed away at age 27.

Dii’Jon Allen Jordan passed away May 3, 2021 from a car accident.

The Plainfield native made a name for himself as he dominated in basketball throughout grade school, high school and even college.

Nicknamed D-Bread, the ball player formally played for the Cheshire Phoenix.

The team shared a statement about the late player via Instagram:

“Dii’jon represented the club during the 2016-17 and 18-19 season and was a huge fan favourite with his high flying dunks

but most importantly his caring and lovable personality.”

D-Bread also played for the London Lions who writes via Instagram,

“the London Lions are heartbroken to hear of the tragic passing of our former player, Dii’jon Allen Jordan.

DJ was a lovely person who lit up the room. We offer prayers up to his family and friends.”

Allen-Jordan, a 6-foot-6 small forward, was named an All-American in 2015-16 when he played collegiately for the Campbellville University Tigers.

He was then drafted with the 102nd pick in the NBA D-League Draft in Oct. 2016.

While at Campsville, Allen-Jordan picked up the honor for three different associations :

Third-Team NAIA All-American

Second-Team Sporting News All-American

First-Team NCCAA All-American

He was also named the NCCAA Mid-East Region Player of the Year.

Allen-Jordan led the Tigers in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.3 points and grabbing 9.5 boards per game.

He finished the season with 16 double-doubles – which ranked him with NAIA Player of the Year.

Dii’Jon Allen Jordan leaves behind a host of family, loved ones, and friends.
