Chad King named as new Long Branch football head coach
King is an elementary school teacher for the district who was the football team’s defensive coordinator before being approved for the head coach position at Wednesday’s board meeting.
Chad King has been named as the new Long Branch High School head football coach.
Succeeds George
He succeeds Dan George, who retired in 2021 after a 23-year tenure.
During his time as Long Branch’s head coach, George’s teams went 151-92, winning three state sectional titles, and captured four division titles, including the 2021 Freedom Division title. He was inducted into the Shore Football Coaches Foundation Hall of Fame in 2018.
