Wilbur V. Martin and the Tuskegee Airmen Project

After Wilbur V. Martin participated in a Ghana session, he went to visit Mr. Kevin Gould’s engineering class at Asbury Park High School. Mr. Gould showed Mr. Martin the project his and Mr. Wronko’s students were currently working on which was a model frame of a B-25 Bomber. The Tuskegee airmen were being trained to go to war in a B-25 Bomber, but World War II came to an end before that occurred.

On Mr. Gould’s door was a model sample of the B-25 Bomber along with a history of the Tuskegee airmen’s missions of protecting many bombers during combat. A great way to end the day with a combination of military history from Wilbur V. Martin and an engineering project involving the Tuskegee airmen. Through this study of military history brought about many great topics for Black History Month.
