Not to long ago I saw Doctor Strange. I was disappointed. I had nothing against the actors in this film. I loved all the actors. What it was, the story! This film came across like a Friday the Thirteenth flick. The Scarlet Witch came across like Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger. This film became a chase movie like you were watching Jason or Freddy which for a Marvel Movie was ridiculous.
Doctor Strange had a ton of potential.
It blew it! For instance, because of the multiverse, they could of introduced so much from the Marvel Comics such as Savage Land with Ka-Zar and the X-Men. However, we got a chase movie with the Scarlet Witch trying to kill Doctor Strange and America Chavez. Correct me if I am wrong.
In addition, what was up with the Illuminati, Professor X, Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, Captain Carter, and Captain Marvel? Now we were talking about super characters that would give anything the ultimate fight. However, they were killed off so ridiculously. For instance, Captain Marvel had a statue fall on her. Like what?! Then Professor X, the most powerful mutant got his neck snapped. Like what?!
I mean where was this story going? They could of had each member of the Illuminati evolve into their own story. But we did not get that. What I wanted very badly was the introduction of multiple monster characters from the Marvel Comics such as Devil Dinosaur, Sauron, Fin Fang Foom, and Stegron. With those charcters it could of evolved into a Destory All Monster type of Godzilla film. For instance, have a team of the Red Hulk and the Abomiation take on all those characters and have people run for their lives. I know I am crazy. However, back to this movie, in my own opinion, save yourself three hours of your life and avoid seeing this film!
