A Union City teen was stabbed to death and another teen was injured Tuesday night, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office announced.

Authorities said Union City police responded to the area of 40th Street and Bergenline Avenue at 6:24 p.m. where they found 15-year-old Allen Flores and a 16-year-old both with stab wounds.
Flores was taken to Christ Hospital in Jersey City and was later pronounced dead. The 16-year-old was treated at a local hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Active Investigation
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Union City Police Department are actively investigating the case. There have been no arrests.
According to NJ.com, a source close to the investigation said the violence was allegedly gang-related and that the two injured boys attend Union City High School.
The stabbing is Union City’s first homicide.
