14-year-old dies after reported stabbing outside Paterson East Side High School

A 14-year-old boy has died after a reported stabbing outside of Eastside High School in Paterson, authorities say.

Police were called to Eastside High School around 3 p.m. for a report of a stabbing and when they arrived they found two injured teenagers, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old boy, outside the property of the school, according to a statement from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The teenagers were both transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where the 14-year-old was pronounced dead, the prosecutor’s office said.

The condition of the other teen was not disclosed.

It was unclear how the boy died and if he had actually been stabbed.
