T. Thomas Cultural Center Brings Black Press Exhibit

The T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center in Red Bank is set to debut Black Press Stewards of Democracy exhibit on October 28th.

The T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center in Red Bank is set to open an exhibit highlighting a collective of Black journalists and writers who have made a significant impact in fighting for justice and equality through communications.

About Black Press Stewards of Democracy

Black Press Stewards of Democracy will showcase powerful individuals, like T. Thomas Fortune, who were newspaper publishers, journalists, didactic thinkers, courageous writers, and photojournalists.

Collectively, they were known as the Black Press, a cadre of political activists who organized and held America accountable to its democratic principles of liberty and justice, for all people.

How to see the exhibit

The Black Press Stewards of Democracy exhibit opens October 28th from 1-5pm, at the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center located at 94 Dr James Blvd in Red Bank.
