Lakewood firefighter Qua’Dry Lyons passes away

The Lakewood Fire Department has announced the tragic passing of firefighter Qua’Dry Lyons.

Qua’Dry Lyons untimely passing

Lyons passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 14. A cause a death was not revealed.

The Lakewood Fire Department released a statement on social media about Lyons untimely passing.

“It is with deep sadness that the Lakewood Fire Department announces the untimely passing of one of our own, Qua’Dry Lyons on January 14, 2025.”

Qua’Dry “Quaddy” Lyons began his firefighting career in May 2021 when he joined the Glendola Fire Company #1.

In June 2023, Lyons joined the Lakewood Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter and was hired as a full-time career Firefighter in July of 2024.

The department says upon his hiring, Lyons quickly became a valued member of the team, who demonstrated immense dedication, courage, and a passion for serving the community.

Statement

“His commitment to the fire service and his willingness to go above and beyond for others will always be remembered.

Our department is heartbroken by this loss, and our thoughts are with Firefighter Lyons family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. We ask for privacy and understanding as we come together to support one another and honor his memory.

The Lakewood Fire Department remains committed to supporting our firefighters and their families during times of need and will continue to uphold the values of service and community that Firefighter Lyons exemplified.”

Details about services or memorials for Qua’Dry Lyons will be shared at a later time.
