Lakewood firefighter Quad’ry Lyons passes away

The Lakewood Fire Department has announced the tragic passing of firefighter Quad’ry Lyons.

Lyons passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 14.

The Lakewood Fire Department released a statement on social media about Lyons untimely passing.

“It is with deep sadness that the Lakewood Fire Department announces the untimely passing of one of our own, Qua’dry Lyons on January 14, 2025.”

Lyons joined the Lakewood Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter in June of 2023 and was hired as a full-time career Firefighter in July of 2024.

The department says upon his hiring, Lyons quickly became a valued member of the team, who “demonstrated immense dedication, courage, and a passion for serving our community”.

“His commitment to the fire service and his willingness to go above and beyond for others will always be remembered.

Our department is heartbroken by this loss, and our thoughts are with Firefighter Lyons family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. We ask for privacy and understanding as we come together to support one another and honor his memory.
